A rather amusing, but XXX-rated Chinese menu

I found this a few years ago and have decided to share after a 4-day orgy of Chinese food in Vancouver and Richmond, British Columbia where I saw a fair version of hilarious mis-translations....one of which follows this jewel! (Click to see a readable version of these.)

I guess the diet worked...giving up beer helped a lot! But I don't think it is healthy. A more healthy variation is the Zone diet which is more sensible and uses some of the same concepts of avoiding less dense carbs. Check it out. What's All This?

I've been traveling, poking around, eating, snapping photos and soaking up other culture for a long, long time. Thought it's about time to share some of my adventures....

Brazil has many deep associations for me. I lived here 30 years ago, I've pined over the culture for 35 years, I have many friends here. I love it. I hate it. All to be revealed in time. The joint I had my late dinner at brought much of those feelings to the surface. What? The granite in the bar. The little choppes, the small beer glasses. The neighborhoodiness of the place (on the beach road of Flamengo, a great old neighborhood, 2-3 beaches up from the trendy ones. The food, nothing frozen, nothing made in Dallas (or São Paulo in this case), all very, very real.

We just don't have much of that left in our overly mass produced paradise. And most Americans don't even know what they are missing. Hear me out....
